Sky Cable will continue its cable television broadcast as it was announced that the PLDT-Sky Cable acquisition deal will not push through.
In a press statement posted on February 22, ABS-CBN Corporate Communications Head Kane Errol Choa said ABS-CBN Corp. and PLDT jointly decided not to proceed with the Sky Cable transaction.
"ABS-CBN Corporation and PLDT have mutually decided not to proceed with the sale of Sky Cable to PLDT under the Sale and Purchase Agreement signed by and among the parties in March 2023," he said.
"Following this development, Sky Cable is pleased to announce that its cable TV service will continue, assuring its subscribers that they can maintain their subscriptions," Chua added.
According to the ABS-CBN Corporate Communications Head, SKYFiber's internet service remains unaffected.

In a separate statement, Sky Cable confirmed that its cable TV service "is here to stay."
"Don't cut the cord just yet, Sky Kapamilyas! Sky Cable subscribers do not need to end their cable TV subscriptions or switch to other providers. We wish to notify our subscribers that the proposed acquisition of SKY by PLDT will no longer proceed," it said.
Sky subscribers who have inquiries and concerns are directed to contact SKY through its website or its messaging platform KYLA.
Last month, Sky Cable announced that its cable television broadcast would cease on February 26 in adherence to the closing conditions of the PLDT-Sky Cable acquisition deal.
As of this writing, there is no announcement yet if ANC programs will continue to go on-air on Sky Cable.
