Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos encouraged the 803 former members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) to complete the recruitment process in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
During his visit to Camp Pendatun in Maguindanao Del Norte, Abalos stated that the rewards and benefits will compensate for the sacrifices and difficulties the applicants are going through.
He said that it includes the wearing of the legitimate and authorized uniform of the national police, emphasizing that the nameless and faceless recruitment process conducted by the PNP and the DILG is part of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s peace and security agenda.
Almost 700 applicants have advanced the psychological and psychiatric examination and will join the 113 applicants from the first batch in going through the four other phases of the application prior to the oath taking.
Abalos congratulated the 100 PNP recruits from the first batch a year ago who are now appointed as new patrolmen.
