The Philippines is set to release its own adaptation of the beloved Korean film A Werewolf Boy, which originally starred Park Bo-young and Song Joong-ki.

The local remake will premiere in theaters nationwide on January 14.

This adaptation stars Angela Muji and Rabin Angeles, with Crisanto B. Aquino directing the project.

On December 3, Viva officially unveiled the film’s trailer.

The story follows a family who moves to the countryside for the sake of their daughter’s health. There, they encounter a mysterious, solitary boy. As he stays with them, a close bond slowly forms — until an incident awakens the beast hidden within him.

Fans are looking forward to the release, hoping it brings a refreshing new flavor to the Filipino film landscape.
