Secretary Dizon emphasized the importance of these appointments as part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to improve the country’s transport systems.
The new leadership comes after a directive mandating the courtesy resignation of all senior DOTr officials, aimed at ensuring a fresh start for the agency's management.
Secretary Dizon also highlighted the creation of the Flagship Project Management Office, an anti-backlog division that seeks to fast-track the implementation of key government projects. These initiatives are expected to significantly improve the daily commuting experience for Filipinos.
