A 10-month-old baby died after being implicated in a burning house in Phase 8, Package 12, Brgy. 176, Caloocan City, on Tuesday, August 22.
According to Noche Cacas' report in MBC Network News, Mary Ann Del Monte, the mother of the baby, said she was carrying her daughter when they were on their way to get out of the burning house when her daughter wanted to climb up the walls when it suddenly hung from a wire and dropped her.
The baby was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The cause of the fire was allegedly the candle they left in the room.
According to the Caloocan Bureau of Fire Protection's report, one house was burned, with five families affected.
Around 50,000 pesos worth of damage was recorded.
The fire reached the first alarm and was extinguished at 7:20 in the evening.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
