Fifty more Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Lebanon safely arrived in the country on Wednesday morning, December 4, according to Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

According to OWWA, the 50 OFWs arrived safely at NAIA Terminal 1 via flight PR659.

They were welcomed by OWWA, led by Deputy Administrator for Operations Mary Melanie Quiño, along with other government agencies.

The repatriates received food assistance, transportation assistance to return to their respective provinces, hotel accommodation if needed, and financial assistance.

"Patuloy ang koordinasyon ng OWWA at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno upang masiguro ang ligtas na repatriation ng mga natitira pang OFWs sa Lebanon," the OWWA said.

Last November 22, five Filipinos also successfully returned home.

Filipinos are being repatriated from war-torn Lebanon due to the ongoing conflict between the Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah.
