Five registered sex offerenders were barred from entering the Philippines in the span of one week, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Tuesday, September 12.

According to BI, an American national, Neil David Laursen, 55, who arrived from Singapore on board a Singapore Airlines flight, was barred on August 30.

The following day, British national Antonio Stephen Albert Costa, 58, flew to the country using an Emirates flight from Dubai, which was barred by Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA).
