Seven men were slaughtered in a massacre that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City.

Citing CALABARZON Police Spokesperson PLTCOL Chit Gaorian, RH 52 Edniel Parrosa reported that the men were found stabbed to death, possibly in their sleep, by an unknown number of assailants inside a bakery located in a portion of Purok 1, Zone 8 of Barangay Cupang, where the victims were employed.

Based on the account of Purok 1 Coordinator Ghem Belarmino, who was one of the first to respond after receiving a report of the incident from a barangay tanod at around 6 AM, the bakery was locked and needed to be forcibly opened.

There, five of the bodies were discovered on the first floor, and two more on the second floor. The victims’ remains were covered in stab wounds.
