Five passengers were injured after a bus hit the railing of Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 along the EDSA Busway in Santolan, Pasig City, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday, Dec. 28.
In an official Facebook post, DOTr said five passengers were reportedly sent to the Labor Hospital in Quezon City after suffering from scars, lumps, and severe dizziness, but were safely discharged eventually.
The transportation department said the accident occurred when a police car suddenly entered the EDSA Busway, causing the coalition with the bus last Wednesday, Dec. 27.
The accident was caught in a closed-circuit television or CCTV.
The DOTr reminded all authorized vehicle inside the exclusive lane: “[M]aging ma-ingat dahil priyoridad pa din ang kaligtasan ng pasahero ng bus sa lahat ng oras.”
