Six individuals died while three were suffered injuries after a three vehicles collided on the Maharlika Highway in Lopez, Quezon Province.

According to the report by RH Benjie Antiouque, the collission involved an auto rickshaw, also known as 'tuk-tuk', a passenger bus, and a truck.
Lopez Quezon police said in a report that the rickshaw, driven by Julius Brin, 32, was traveling at 2:10 a.m. to Albay province when it was bumped from behind by a truck driven by Ernesto Alberto, 51, in a section of the highway in Barangay Canda Ilaya.
Amor Pedragosa, 47, was driving a passenger bus when the rickshaw abruptly caught fire and collided with the back end of the vehicle that was racing ahead.
The bus caught fire as well; however, none of the passengers perished.
The wayward truck came to rest on its right side on the side of the road following the incident.
Meanwhile, the driver was reportedly safe.
The truck driver was placed under police custody while the investigation is still ongoing.
