Almost half, or 46% of adult Filipinos believe that the country's economy will not grow in the next six months, according to a survey conducted by OCTA Research.
The results of the Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey shows only 43% of Filipinos believe that the economic level will remain the same, while 6% say that it will worsen.
Among Filipinos who believe the economy will get worse, 2% of them are in balanced Luzon and 11% in the Visayas.
According to OCTA, "pessimism," or negativity in the economy and quality of life, remains in the second quarter of the year.
Meanwhile, in the same survey, the majority of Filipinos still believe that their lifestyle will improve in the next month.
"About 55% of adult Filipinos believe that their quality of life will improve over the next six months," the survey said.
However, 36% say their lifestyle will remain the same, while four percent believe it will get worse.
"Notably, there is a relatively lower percentage of adult Filipinos in Visayas (46%) who think that their quality of life will improve over the next six months compared to other major areas," ayon pa sa OCTA.
The survey was conducted from July 22–26, using face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents aged 18 and over nationwide.
