Four suspects, including a former police officer, were arrested for attempting to kidnap a Chinese businesswoman in Pasay City on Monday, January 22.

According to RH Val Gonzales' live report during MBC Network News, the incident happened at 7 a.m., where the suspects attempted to kidnap their Chinese national victim.
Substation 1 Pasay City Police, who by that time were conducting a patrol in Brgy. 6 Roxas Blvd., Pasay City, caught the act and immediately arrested the kidnappers.
In a press conference in Camp Crame, PNP Chief Benjamin Acorda Jr. said one of the suspects was a dismissed police officer.
A car, revolver, caliber 45 bullets, knife, and hammer are some of the recovered items from the suspects.
Police are currently conducting a follow-up operation to figure out if the suspects have other accomplice.
