A fire blazed a permanent resettlement area in Brgy. Tumana Marikina City on Sunday morning, February 18, leaving four individuals injured.
According to Marikina City Rescue 161's report posted on its official Facebook page, the fire broke out at 7:46 AM and reached the first alarm by 7:51 AM.
The fire was declared under control at 8:46 AM and the fire out was pronounced at 9 AM.
Affected residents have been relocated to the Dona Petra basketball gym for their permanent shelter.
According to RH Val Gonzales' report on DZRH Rapido Hataw Balita, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Marikina confirmed that four people sustained minor injuries.
Twenty-eight houses, meanwhile, were burned. No other casualties were recorded.
As per Gonzales, Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro visited the blazed resettlement area and the evacuation center.
Teodoro reportedly ordered the immediate provision of financial assistance and relief goods to the evacuees.
