The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested four Filipinos for their involvement in the exploitation of children through the production of Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM) and live-streaming acts of sexual abuse and exploitation.

Meanwhile, eight minors were rescued, including the four children of one of the suspects. According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), among them is a 10-month-old child.

The NBI reported that the materials and live-streaming content were being sold on various platforms.

Following a thorough verification, the NBI Human Trafficking Division (NBI-HTRAD) confirmed that one of the suspects was indeed offering these illicit materials. In addition, the same individual allegedly offered a sex tourism package involving her minor daughters for escort and sexual activities as an enticement for her customers.

The suspects violated Republic Act 11930, also known as the "Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act," as well as Republic Act 9208, as amended by RA 10364, or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

The NBI-HTRAD applied for and secured a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) on February 3, 2025, issued by the Regional Trial Court in Angeles, Pampanga.

In response to NBI's move, the DOJ Undersecretary Nicholas Felix Ty commended the NBI-HTRAD for their "swift action and dedication while prioritizing the safety of the victims."

"We are committed to ensuring that justice is served and that these victims receive the proper protection and support they deserve. The IACAT and NCC-OSAEC-CSAEM remain steadfast in their commitment to the government's mandate by intensifying efforts against human trafficking and OSAEC and encouraging vigilance among the community to prevent similar cases from happening," said Ty.
