A total of 343 Filipinos from Riyadh have returned to the Philippines amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The repatriates arrived shortly after 7 a.m. on Sunday at Terminal 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport aboard the second government-chartered flight operated by Philippine Airlines.
According to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), those repatriated include distressed Filipinos and stranded overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Of the total number, 328 are adult OFWs, 11 are children over two years old, and two are infants below the age of two.
The returning Filipinos were personally welcomed by Hans Leo Cacdac, secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers, along with Patricia Yvonne Caunan, administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and other officials from concerned government agencies.
Upon arrival, the repatriates were provided with immediate assistance, including transportation and hotel accommodation for those traveling to their respective provinces.
