The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Thursday, Nov. 9, that the three suspects of Misamis Occidental radioman Juan Jumalon, also known as DJ Johnny Walker, are facing murder and theft charges.
According to PNP spokesperson PCol. Jean Fajardo, the complaint was submitted to the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Misamis Occidental on Wednesday, and the names of the suspects were identified but cannot be disclosed yet while the investigation is ongoing.
Jumalon was killed on Sunday morning, Nov. 5, by an unknown assailant while he was doing a live broadcast for his program.
He was rushed to the Calamba District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
On Monday, Nov. 6, the PNP released a computerized sketch of one of the suspects, who served as the lookout for the crime.
Meanwhile, a reward of P100,000 was offered for any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.
