Three people were reportedly perished while four others were injured in the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Florita in the country, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Thursday.
In its situational briefing, the NDRRMC said the two confirmed fatalities were from Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) who were both hit by fallen trees.
Meanwhile, one fatality and one injured from Region 5 (Bicol Region) are still being verified. It is reported earlier that the other unconfirmed death was a victim who reportedly drowned in Camarines Sur.
The three who sustained injuries were from Cagayan, who were either hit by a tree or falling debris.
STS Florita, which left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday morning, affected 11,953 families or 47,169 persons in five regions.
