International reports said that the heavy rain that triggered flooding throughout the UAE and Bahrain over the weekend "paralyzed" Dubai and left multiple people dead in Oman.
On Tuesday, the torrential downpour reportedly brought 254 millimeters of rain to the region in less than 24 hours, according to the National Meteorology Center.
It was reportedly the highest rainfall since 1949, before the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971.
