Three siblings were confirmed dead in a fire that broke out in a residential area in Alta Monte, Brgy. Dolores in Taytay, Rizal on Sunday evening, February 25.
According to Taytay Public Information Office's fire update posted on its official Facebook page, the fire started at 9 PM and it reached the first alarm.
The Bureau of Fire Protection Taytay reportedly declared a fireout at 9:47 PM.
According to RH Edniel Parrosa's report on Monday, February 26, two of three were said to be senior citizens while the other was a person living with disabilities or PWD.
In an exclusive interview, Larry De Silva, the son of one of the fire victims, recounted that he tried to save his mother and two aunts from the blazing house but failed to do so.
Nasa loob," De Silva continued.
He suspected that the fire originated from the electric fan which they used non-stop for three days.
