Five people were killed on the spot and two others were critically injured in a vehicular crash on the DRT Highway in Baliuag, Bulacan, on Wednesday, June 7.

According to the preliminary investigation, the alleged SUV carried seven passengers: three South Koreans and four Filipinos.

Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo reported that all three Korean: Miseon Kim, Park Misoon, and Jinoh Kim, as well as two Filipinos: Rosalinda Capinlac and Allen Bulandos, died, while two other passengers, Geraldine Capinlac and Theresa Adio, were admitted to the Baliwag District Hospital and in critical condition.

They were later moved to the Bulacan Medical Center for treatment.

According to reports, the victims were on their way to the airport after returning from a holiday in Nueva Ecija when the event occurred.

At roughly 2:00 a.m., the Toyota Fortuner driven by Bulandos drifted into the opposite lane and collided with the truck driven by PJ Calma.

Calma was apprehended and is being held by Baliwag police.
