A female barangay captain and her husband were reportedly shot dead by a riding-in-tandem in Brgy. San Juan in the Munipaclity of Ramos, Tarlac on Thursday morning, Nov. 30.
According to RH Grace Sansano's report in MBC Network News, the lady barangay captain was identified as Edita Zarzuela, 61, while his husband was named Edgar Zarzuela, 68.
The couple both hail from Brgy. Plastado, Gerona, Tarlac.

The shooting incident reportedly occurred while the couple were doing daily routine exercise at around 7 AM.
The Philippine National Police - Tarlac personnel immediately launched a dragnet operation and established a blocking checkpoint in nearby towns to catch the suspects.
Police authorities are now investigating the motives behind the crime.
