A 24-year-old bettor from Pasig City hit the jackpot price of nearly P43 million with the winning combination based on her family members’ respective birth dates and ages.

According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the bettor considered the lottery as a hobby since she was 20 after getting asked by her mother to bet on a lotto game on her behalf.

“Tuwang-tuwa si mama kasi natupad ko ang pangarap niyang jackpot,” she said.

The new millionaire, however, claimed that she was still undecided on where to use her winnings.

“Ang tanging sigurado po ay magiging savings po muna ito, napakabata ko pa po at madami pa akong kakaharapin. Mas maigi na pag-isipang mabuti para hindi po ako magsisi bandang huli”, she added.

The winning ticket was stamped on July 17 this year. PCSO stated that all lottery winners should claim their winnings one year from the draw date to avoid forfeiture.
