Two women lost their lives in a motorcycle accident early Tuesday morning at the Nagtahan Bridge descent, located at the corner of Lacson Avenue and Tuazon Street in Sampaloc, Manila.

In a report by RH Boy Gonzales, PSSgt. Alinion Aquino, an investigator from the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU), said the accident occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. Witnesses reported that the two victims were speeding before the incident.

Initial investigation suggests that the driver lost control of the motorcycle due to heavy rainfall. As a result, the motorcycle mounted the gutter, causing both victims to skid onto the road.

Despite wearing helmets, the two women sustained severe head injuries, leading to their immediate death at the scene.
