Two individuals were killed in a shooting in Brgy. Dalican Poblacion in Datu Odin Sinsuat Municipality, Maguindanao Del Norte, on Monday, Oct. 30.
According to RH Jun Dimacutac’s report on DZRH’s Damdaming Bayan, the shooting incident occurred at 6 AM, an hour before the polling precinct for Barangay and Sangguniang Barangay Elections (BSKE) opened.
Two unidentified individuals were confirmed dead while three others were wounded.

In an interview with another media outlet, Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) Regional Director Alan Nobleza confirmed the shooting incident in the aforementioned area.
“May isang insidente lang nangyari kaninang umaga, 6 o’clock in the morning wherein may shooting incident happened at Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Del Norte,” Nobleza said.
“Two victims, dalawang biktima ang namatay at tatlo yung wounded,” he added.
The PRO-BAR Regional Director said they have identified the suspects, and the man-hunt operation continues.
When asked if the incident was connected to the BSKE 2023, Nobleza answered that it was related.
“Opo, yes Sir [related sa BSKE] kasi ito ay maaga. Boboto yung mga victims na ito at nangyari yung pamamaril,” he said.
According to Nobleza, more than 9,900 authorities have been deployed in polling centers to ensure the safety of residents in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region this BSKE 2023.
