

A shocking shooting incident occurred in broad daylight inside a classroom at Sta. Rosa Integrated School on Thursday, August 7, leaving two individuals critically injured.
According to a police report, the suspect, a male Grade 10 drop-out student from Barangay Sta. Rosa entered the classroom and shot the victim, also a Grade 8 student, in the neck. The suspect then turned the weapon on himself and fired.
Witnesses interviewed by RH Grace Sansano for Rapido Hataw Balita said the suspect was asking the victim to speak with him prior to the incident. The two were allegedly in a relationship, though this remains under investigation.

Authorities recovered two spent bullets from a revolver at the scene. Both individuals were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and are currently in critical condition.
In response to the incident, school officials suspended classes at Sta. Rosa Integrated School. Police investigations are ongoing to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the case.
