Operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested two Chinese nationals during an anti-human trafficking operation in a suspected POGO facility in Mabalacat, Pampanga on Tuesday.

The suspects were identified as Chinese nationals with aliases “Tiago” and “Tian Zhu”. With the power of seven search warrants issued by the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court in Guagua, Pampanga, CIDG were able to execute the operation at Clark Freeport Zone in an orderly manner.

The conducted operation was witnessed by security officers from the compound, representatives from Clark Development Corporation and Public Safety Division for transparency.

The suspects, victims, and recovered evidences were brought to the CIDG Anti-Organized Crime Unit (AOCU) in Camp Crame, Quezon City for documentation and proper disposition.

The suspects will face complaints for violation of Republic Act 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.

"The CIDG has once again proven that neither foreign nationals nor locals can't stop us from keeping the communities safe and secure. We will be stringent and persistent in implementing our anti-criminality campaigns against those who desire to cause trouble in the country, dahil ang gusto ng pulis ligtas ka," CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Leo Francisco said in an official statement on Wednesday.
