The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) together with other law enforcement operatives arrested 5 individuals including two Chinese nationals, one Taiwanese, and two Filipinos during a raid on a suspected clandestine drug laboratory in BF Resort Village, Las Piñas City on April 11, 2025.
Following the implementation of the search warrant, the joint operation led by PDEA Intelligence Service, carried out at around 5:00 PM.
The raid yielded various pieces of laboratory equipment and chemical substances believed to be used in the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu.”
PDEA discovered multiple chemical substances stored in blue drums, plastic gallons, and amber bottles, alongside numerous manufacturing apparatus commonly used in shabu production.
According to the authorities, the presence of controlled precursors and essential chemicals (CPECs) strongly indicated the location’s use as a possible setup for the illicit manufacture of dangerous drugs.
The operation was conducted in the presence of mandatory witnesses to ensure transparency and full compliance with legal procedures.
All seized items have been turned over to the PDEA Laboratory Service for thorough chemical analysis and proper documentation.
The suspects were charged with violation of Section 8 of Republic Act No. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
