

The Department of Justice has issued two alert list orders against expelled congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr. through the Bureau of Immigration.
According to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, the orders prohibits Teves’ movement and facilitate his arrest with the help of international cooperation
He added that the two alert list ensure that people like Teves are held liable for their actions despite their influence.
On September 5, 2023, orders were issued pursuant to a court order, while an Interpol Blue Notice was published on February 19.
Moreover, the Bureau of Immigration officers were instructed to promptly report any information about the former congressman’s entry, exit, or attempted entry and exit, reminding the officers to refer Teves to the Philippine National Police or the National Bureau of Investigation.
Meanwhile, Remulla told Teves that the latter could not escape the long arm of the law.
