A 19-year-old male has been arrested after allegedly killing a college teacher in Brgy. San Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

According to Police Major Randy Babor, the victim, named Tony Lazaga, 51, obtained 16 stab wounds which led to his death.

The suspect was found in Barangay San Teodoro with the help of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and witnesses to the incident.

Based on the suspect's statement, they stabbed the victim after he resisted the robbery.

The investigation revealed that the suspect had two other companions when he committed the crime.

Cell phones and cash were stolen from the victim.

Babor said the teenager’s companions have been identified and are the subject of a manhunt operation.

Murder charges will be filed against the suspect.
