Residents of Lope De Vega, Northern Samar have been staying at churches, schools, and evacuation centers due to floods that hit the province since the weekend.
Lope De Vega Mayor Bobby Saludario said that the floods affected a total of 1,794 families.
"Ang ibang bahagi ng mga barangay, abot bubong yung tubig," the local chief executive shared on Tuesday, Nov. 21, during DZRH's Breaktime.
Saludario appealed for assistance from the national government, and said that the municipality particularly needs food items.
"Nagkulang yung bigas na inihanda namin pero, so far, yung evacuees ay nabigyan naman lahat," he said.
There were no reported casualties yet as of Tuesday, but Saludario said that the municipality also experienced landslides, and that the floods also damaged some houses.
