The number of enrollees for the School Year 2023-2024 has reached 18.8 million as of Wednesday, August 23, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).

DepEd's Learner Information System (LIS) Quick Count showed that the total number of registered students is at 18,833,944.

The following regions had the highest number of enrollees:

• Region IV-A - 3,114,341
• National Capital Region - 2,354,285
• Region III - 2,062,981

DepEd continues to encourage parents to enroll their children in school.

Enrollment will continue until August 26.

The start of classes is scheduled for Tuesday, August 29.
