A female Grade 10 student in Naga City in Cebu has been allegedly raped by seven people, who are reportedly her classmates and schoolmates and are all minors.
In a report from Naga City Police, the initial investigation showed that the 16-year-old victim attended a classmate's debut party where alcoholic beverages were served. The suspects were also at the party.
The victim told authorities that a drinking session also took place and that she and her friends joined in.
One of the victims claimed one of the boys may have drugged her after seeing him place something in her drink. Police have yet to verify this claim.
Another said they saw the victim being carried to a motorcycle by two boys. The vehicle then sped away to a secluded area in Barangay Jaguimit where the crime allegedly happened.
Authorities said five of the seven boys reportedly took turns in raping the victim. The next day, May 26, she was reportedly found unconscious on top of a water tank in Barangay Jaguimit.
The victim is currently undergoing stress debriefing following the incident.
Meanwhile, Naga police said they are set to file rape cases against the minor suspects believed to have been involved in a ‘gang rape.’
