The vehicle mishap in Sitio Tubod, Brgy. Bulwang, Mabinay, Negros Oriental on Wednesday, February 21, has killed 15 individuals and injured two others.
Mabinay Chief of Police PMaj. Nelson Lamoco confirmed the 15 cascualities, according to RH Rex Cantong's report on DZRH Magandang Umaga Pilipinas on February 22.
The two injured were identified as Jovanni Flores and Antonio Boganotan Toreno, the truck driver. Both of them are said to be residents of La Libertad, Negros Oriental.
As per reports, Toreno will be facing reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicides.

In an official Facebook post, the La Libertad Municipal government extended its condolences to the families of the 15 slain victims who are also La Libertad residents.
"We express our gratitude to the LGU of Mabinay through Mayor Jango Uy, the Mabinay Rescue Team, and the Mabinay Health Office for their prompt response during the rescue and retrieval operations," it said.
The La Libertad Municipal government wished "immediate recovery" for the injured individuals who are receiving medical treatment at the Mabinay Community Hospital.
According to the Mabinay Chief of Police, the incident occurred at around 1:30 PM when the truck driver lost its brake while traversing to Mabinay.
