With over 7,000 Kadiwa outlets nationwide, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. reported that over 1.8 million Filipinos have benefitted from this project helmed as concurrent Agriculture Secretary during his second State of the Nation Adress (SONA) on Monday, July 24.
Malaking tulong ang Kadiwa store na ating muling binuhay at inilunsad," the President said as he delivers his speech before thousands of attendees at the Batasang Pambansa.
With this, the President once again vowed to expand even more the Kadiwa outlets across the Philippines, tapping government agencies to strengthen the program's implementation.
President Marcos spearheaded the return of Kadiwa stores in November, which allows farmers, fishers, and microentrepreneurs to sell their products directly to consumers amid the rising prices of commodities in the country.
