Typhoon Betty, also known as Mawar, has resulted in one fatality and affected over 77,000 individuals, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) report released on Friday.
The cyclone impacted 77,801 people in several regions, including the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, and Western Visayas.
A total of 21,586 families have been directly affected by the cyclone.
There has been one reported death and one individual injured.
The damage to agriculture and infrastructure has been relatively minimal.
The estimated cost of infrastructure damage is around P68,695, while the agricultural sector has suffered estimated damage of P25,000.
The government has provided assistance amounting to P9.74 million in response to the situation.
The Department of Social and Welfare Development contributed P7,936,921 through Family Food Packs and financial assistance to support affected individuals.
