A “Willy Wonka” inspired event in Glasgow, Scotland advertised using AI images drew backlash from families after being left underwhelmed by the lackluster design.

In a BBC report, police were called to the “Willy Wonka Experience” as families thought the event advertised as a "journey filled with wondrous creations and enchanting surprises at every turn" was a scam.

The event organized by the House of Illuminati was canceled due to complaints from families, with organizers providing full refunds from ticket holders who bought it for £35 (P2,491).

According to Business Insider, the House of Illuminati posted an apology on Facebook for the people they have “let down” in the event.

"Today has been a very stressful and frustrating day for many and for that we are truly sorry. Unfortunately, last minute we were let down in many areas of our event and tried our best to continue on and push through and now realise we probably should have canceled first thing this morning instead,” its statement read.

"We fully apologize for what has happened and will be giving full refunds to each and every person that purchased tickets,” it further read.
