For those unfamiliar with the series, Totally Spies! follows the adventures of three teenage girls named Sam, Clover, and Alex who lead glamorous lives in Beverly Hills, USA, but secretly work as agents for an organization that protects the world from evil forces.
The show gained popularity for its unique premise of balancing the girls' high school lives with their undercover job, along with their use of gadgets disguised as feminine or teenage personal care items.
While some fans may be skeptical of a reboot, production company Banijay Kids & Family assures viewers that the upcoming seventh season will stay true to the original show's key elements but will also be updated for a new audience, reflecting modern challenges faced by high schoolers and spies.
The series will continue to feature strong female leads and a diverse range of modern themes.
Stephane Berry, who directed five previous seasons of the show, will return to helm the new episodes.
The spy trio will also have an updated look while retaining their iconic colorful latex jumpsuits.
The upcoming season will have 22 episodes, each lasting 22 minutes and will premiere on Cartoon Network in 2024 on a date yet to be disclosed.
