South Korean actor Lee Ji-Han, who was known known for his participation as a contestant on Mnet audition show “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017, was among those who passed away last Saturday during the tragic Halloween crush in Itaewon. He was 25.
This was confirmed by his agency 935 Entertainment through a statement released on Sunday.
"It’s true that Lee Ji Han passed away due to the accident in Itaewon on October 29," the statement read.
"We also hoped that it wasn’t true, and we were very shocked to hear the news. The family is suffering immense grief right now, so we are being very cautious. May he rest in peace," it added.
"We still remember Lee, who always had a big smile and greeted people with energy. He was a bright and pure person and we cannot believe that we cannot see him anymore. Please send your warm regards as Lee leaves our side too early. We will also remember Lee, who shined beautifully with passion for acting."
Lee first became known to the public through “Produce 101 Season 2."
He, later on, debuted as an actor in 2019 through the web series “Today Was Another Nam Hyeon Day.”
