One more chance for those who missed the musical run of the iconic love story of Popoy and Basha as the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) announces a rerun this year!
In a Facebook post, PETA said 'One More Chance, The Musical,' whose current run is still ongoing until June 30, will be holding a re-run from August 23 to October 27 at the PETA Theater Center.
"This is your chance. PETA’s One More Chance the Musical, featuring the songs of Ben&Ben will be back for another season this August - October 2024!" the post read.
Based on the motion picture One More Chance (2007) produced by ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc., PETA’s musical adaptation not only brings Popoy and Basha’s love story to life but also aims to create a more nuanced and expanded experience for audiences.
The show debuted last April 12, 2024 at the same venue.
The cast features Sam Concepcion and CJ Navato, who alternate in the role of Popoy, and Anna Luna and Nicole Omillo, who alternate in the role of Basha.
Joining them are Jef Flores and Jay Gonzaga, who alternate as Mark; Kiara Takahashi and Sheena Belarmino, who alternate as Tricia; Ada Tayao and Rica Laguardia, who alternate as Krizzy; Poppert Bernadas and Paji Arceo, who alternate as Kenneth; Via Antonio and Dippy Arceo, who alternate as Anj; Johnnie Moran as Chinno; and Jon Abella as JP.
Completing the cast are Chez Cuenca and Coleen Paz, who alternate as Helen/Guia/Roselle; JC Galano and Matthew Barbers, who alternate as Francis/Mr. Tan; Carla Guevara Laforteza and Neomi Gonzales, who alternate as Rose/Edith; Raul Montesa and Floyd Tena, who alternate as Bert/Willie; and Hazel Maranan as Elvie/Mrs. Abellera.
Tickets are priced at P3,000 (VIP), P2,500 (Orchestra Center), P2,200 (Orchestra Side), P2,500 (Balcony Center), and P1,500 (Balcony Side).
"One More Chance" is a romantic drama film released in November 2007, starring former ABS-CBN talents Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz who portrayed the iconic roles of Basha and Popoy, respectively.
The film was written by Vanessa Valdez, directed by renowned director Cathy Garcia-Molina, and produced by ABS-CBN leaders, Charo Santos-Concio and Malou Santos.
Eight years after the box office success of "One More Chance", Star Cinema dropped the sequel titled "A Second Chance".
