Filipino-Irish psychological thriller film "Nocebo" is coming to the Philippine cinema in January next year.
This was announced by Filipino production company TBA studios in a Facebook post on Friday.
"Lucky shoes, lucky shoes. Make me win and never lose! TBA Studios is starting the new year right with a new film to watch on the big screen! The much-talked-about thriller, NOCEBO, is finally coming to Philippine cinemas on January 18, 2023," it captioned in the post.
The international film is headlined by Filipina actress Chai Fonacier, French actress and model Eva Green, and British actor Mark Strong.
The storyline evolves with Eva Green who portrayed Christine, a fashion designer who is suffering from a mysterious illness that puzzles her doctors.
Chai Fonacier, who plays as a Filipino caretaker named Diana, then appears and claims that she can heal Christine.
But the husband of Christine becomes skeptical of Diana who seemingly makes Christine’s condition worse after she uses some traditional folk healing on her.
"Nocebo" was first screened in United States cinemas last November.
The film was directed by Irish director Lorcan Finnegan and written by Garret Shanley.
