After the conclusion of Miss Universe 2023 last Sunday, November 19, Filipinos were left in dismay after the Philippines’ bet Michelle Marquez Dee landed in the top 10 spot and failed to advance in the top five, which also made Pulitzer Award-winning investigative journalist Ronan Farrow react and say that she was ‘robbed.'
Farrow could not hide his feelings and shared them on his social media account “X” after Dee ended her Miss Universe journey and was not given the opportunity to showcase them here with the question-and-answer portion.
Miss Philippines was robbed, shaking and crying.

However, he also lauded and said that he was happy for Nicaragua’s bet Sheynnis Palacios for winning this year’s crown, making history for her country.
Apart from being a Pulitzer Awardee, Farrow is also the son of American actress Mia Farrow and filmmaker Woody Allen.
He clinched the Pulitzer Award for his report on the sexual abuse allegations against filmmaker Harvey Weinstein, who would be convicted on several counts in a Los Angeles court.
It can be recalled that there was a mistake that the fans made a fuss about, as it was clearly shown that Michelle was included in the top five of the said prestigious competition but was later taken down and changed ten minutes later.
Meanwhile, Michelle Dee showed consistency and confidence in her performance from the preliminary to the coronation night.
She did not go home empty-handed, as she also bagged three awards as she was one of the gold finalists for Voice of Change, Spirit of Carnival Award, and Miss Universe's fan vote.
