The hit Korean webtoon “Marry My Husband” is reportedly getting a Japanese drama adaptation!
In a Soompi report, production company Studio Dragon stated that they were talking about the popular webtoon’s Japanese adaptation.
“We are currently discussing plans for the Japanese version of ‘Marry My Husband,’” its statement read.
According to the production company, the Japanese adaptation would not be based on the Korean drama adaptation of “Marry My Husband,” but instead based on the webtoon.
“It is not a Japanese remake of the currently on-air tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Marry My Husband.’ The original webtoon is popular in Japan as well, so we were discussing the production of a Japanese drama even before the Korean drama started airing,” the statement further read.
The Korean drama “Marry My Husband” follows terminally ill Kang Ji Won (Park Min-young) who learns of his cheating husband Park Min-hwan (Lee Yu-kyung) who eventually murders her.
It was reportedly received well by fans nationwide.
