After massive demands for extension, 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' stars confirmed additional episodes to extend the series.
MCAI stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco confirmed in an interview that this was due to fans' unexpected and overwhelming support.
"Hindi talaga namin ine-expect itong level ng pagmamahal sa amin ng mga viewers, ng mga Kapuso. So sino ba naman kami para hindi dinggin ang kanilang mga hinaing?" said the actress.
"For the fans ito 'yung Valentine's gift ng lahat ng buong cast at buong bumubuo ng 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' so I'm just super happy na mae-extend," David said officially confirming the extension.
As the ending approaches, anticipation for Fidel and Klay's love story heightens.
"Mai-inlove 'yung mga fans, 'yung mga supporters of FiLay kasi s'yempre 'yung mga scenes na ginawa namin was really sweet," David added.
Meanwhile, the series already wrapped up its last taping day last week.
