With inflation worsening these days, even the smallest coin or peso bill left inside your pants pocket would be a heave of sigh, but not to this netizen.

In a now-viral Facebook post, user Jonathan De Vera expressed his disappointment after he accidentally ironed his PHP 1,000 polymer banknote which was left inside his pants pocket.

"Isang nakakaasar na kaganapan. Basahin at intindihin, wag tularan. Naiwan ko sa bulsa ng pantalon ko ang 1000 na polymer. It so happen na nagplantsa ako. Nakapa ko lang nung binaligtad ko pantalon ko. Ito ang nangyari," De Vera wrote, attaching a photo of the deformed thousand peso bill.

To make it even worse, Jonathan said banks might refuse to accept the banknote.

"Sadly di raw tatanggapin sa banko. In short souvenir ko na to. Goodbye 1k pandagdag ko pa naman sa enrollment fee ko," he added.

At the end of his post, Jonathan advised the public not to leave paper bills inside their pockets.

"Moral lesson: wag ilalagay ang pera sa pantalon kundi sa wallet," he said.
