President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Tuesday, January 30, said his relationship with the Vice President Sara Duterte remains unchanged even after her family's tirade against him over the weekend.
"It's exactly the same because she hasn't said anything that of that nature and wala naman siyang sinasabi na ganyang klase, so hindi naman nagbabago," Marcos told reporters in an press briefing in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He said the vice president stays in his cabinet as the secretary of the education department.
Former Senator Sonny Trillanes IV, however, believes that Duterte should resign as education secretary, saying that she should at least feel the shame for her family's attack against the president.
"Pagkatapos ng kaguluhan nung Linggo, minura at ininsulto na ng tatay at mga kapatid mo, tapos kapit-tuko ka pa rin as DepEd Secretary? Konting hiya naman. Magresign ka na as DepEd Secretary, please. #SaraResign," Trillanes said in an X (formerly Twitter) post.

When asked if their alliance called UniTeam is still intact, Marcos said he thinks and believes so.
"Because if you remember, UniTeam is not just one or three parties, it's the unification of all political forces in the Philippines to come together for the good of the country. And that is still there. It is still vibrant. It is still working and will continue that," the President added.
In his speech during the prayer rally against Charter change in Davao on Sunday, January 28, former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte accused Marcos as a "drug addict" who is included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency's drug watch list.
The former president also warned the President that he may be ousted from his position similar to his father's fate if he would not stop the Charter change talks.
Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte also hit Marcos, calling him to resign for being "lazy" and "uncompassionate" to Filipinos.
