Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana took to Instagram to express her gratitude after winning the Best Supporting Actress award in the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal.
She was recognized for her role as Amanda in “My Father Myself”, a film by director Joel Lamangan.
“Biggest pahabol blessing š Father God, I feel unworthy and yet you bless me still with so much more than what I feel I deserve š„¹” Dimples wrote in an Instagram post.
The cast of “My Father Myself”, namely Jake Cuenca, Queen Carillo, Sean De Guzman, and Tiffany Grey received Dimple’s award on her behalf during the award show.
The 38-year-old actress shared that it is “fitting” that they accepted it for her because her portrayal would not be “stellar” without their commitment to the film.
“Silang apat kasama pa sina Direk Joel, Nay Len, Mother Dennis and the whole team inspired me to give it my very best to make sure my work is at par with theirs. What a joy to work with people who empower you to do be better always,” she added.

Dimples said even though the film was "unusual" from the projects that has offered to her, she understood as an actress how to play the role of Amanda who unconditionally loves his husband Robert “with every facet and complexity of his character.”
"A risk worth taken. A blessing unforeseen, unexpected but definitely EMBRACED. Thank you po @mmffofficial , my @abscbn @starmagicphils Tay @direklauren Kuya @alan_m_real sa patuloy na pagaalaga, pagmamahal at pagtitiwala ♥ļø" she further said.
Apart from Dimples, other actors that also won big in the MMFF are Nadine Lustre who was hailed Best Actress and Star of the Night, and Ian Veneracion as Best Actor.
