Five-time Grammy winner Mariah Carey must have been aware that the Philippines starts the Christmas season as the calendar turns to September since all the songs related to Christmas are played non-stop on different media platforms, including Spotify.
Mariah received the news that her song "All I Want For Christmas Is You" skyrocketed to 316,000 streams on Spotify, increasing 75% compared to the same day in 2022.
With the good news, the singer did not hesitate to report it on X (formerly Twitter) and make a funny caption.
"Not yet! I’ll allow it for my Filipino lambs, though," she said in her caption.
"I don’t make the rules!" she added.

It really looked like the 54-year-old singer already knew how Filipinos play her songs when the ‘ber’ month of the year begins.
In 1994, the popular song was released and continued to get a spot in the Billboard Hot 100, topping the global charts’ December 25, 2021 list.
