As the group remains relevant in the industry even after 17 years, legendary K-pop group Super Junior said that the only reason their team is still active these days is because of hard work.
According to the group's leader Leeteuk, during a virtual press conference on Wednesday, the group never took a break even during their military enlistment.
He said that even when some of them in the group were in the army, the group did not stop working and releasing new albums, which he thinks that it is one of the powers they have.
SJ's leader added that the group was not trying to let go of anything, but trying their hardest instead, saying that those moments led them to actively contribute to the K-pop industry up to this time for 17 years.
Last January 118, Disney+ released the group's documentary series titled "Super Junior: The Last Man Standing," giving a glimpse of how Super Junior started from a group project called Super Junior 05 to maintain themselves as Super Junior up to this time.
It shows never-before-seen interviews of the members Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun.
The docuseries' title is a line from their 2011 song "Superman."
Leeteuk said that he already felt that they would be the last man standing so he felt the sense of responsibility and pressure to show their juniors - the idol groups of this generation - how to move forward.
Last December 17 and 18, the group fulfilled their promise to their fandom, Ever Lasting Friends (ELF) that they will come back after the postponement of their Super Show 9 in Manila due to the passing of Eunhyuk's father.
