The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday, February 21, denied Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy's claim that he is under surveillance.
According to PNP Public Information Office Chief Col. Jean Fajardo, the claim was absurd, noting that the PNP did not receive any order to survey Quiboloy.
"Hindi natin alam kung saan nangggaling yung mga sinasabi ni Pastor Quiboloy at salita po niya yun, but on the part of the PNP, wala pong nilabas na pag-uutos na anumang pagbabantay or even pagri-raid," Fajardo told reporters in a phone interview.
In a 36-minute voice message posted by Sonshine Media Network Inc. (SMNI), Quiboloy said that a reliable source tipped him about the conspiracy between the American government and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. administratio to have him killed.
He said the 11 compounds he owned were allegedly surveyed by drones day and night, making them anxious to sleep.
Quiboloy, claiming to be "the appointed son of God," is currently facing sex and labor trafficking charges in America. His name was also included in the Federal Bureau of Investigation's wanted list since 2022.
Senator Risa Hontiveros recently released a subpoena to Quiboloy urging the pastor to present himself for the senate hearing on his alleged involvement in sexual abuses inside his religious group.
The House Committee on Legislative Franchises also subpoenaed Quiboloy, requiring his presence in an inquiry into SMNI's alleged violations in its franchise set on March 12.
In his message, Quiboloy did not mention if he was complying with the subpoenas; instead, he only described these as attempts to “demonize me and destroy my reputation.”
Quiboloy hinted that he was in his compound in Tamayon, a rural village in Davao City.
