Eaterlies, shearline, northeast monsoon or Amihan, and localized thunderstorms will cause scattered rains over several parts of the country today, November 8.

According to PAGASA, the easterlies are affecting southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon is affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.

Visayas, Mindanao, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to easterlies or shear line.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with rains caused by the northeast monsoon.

Ilocos Norte and Apayao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to easterlies or localized thunderstorms.

For wind and coastal water conditions, the northern and eastern sections of Luzon will have moderate to strong windspeed moving from the northeast to the east, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Eastern Visayas and the northeastern portion of Mindanao will have moderate wind speed moving in the east direction, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have a light to moderate wind speed, moving in a north-to-east direction with slight to moderate water conditions.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speeds moving in a southeast to northeast direction, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
